Preparing Your Material
To ensure your submission is comprehensive, a complete submission should include the following:
- Manuscript file, including methods, figures, results, and data (if applicable)
- Cover letter
- Supplementary material (optional)
See the details below:
Manuscript File
- Must include names and affiliations of all co-authors (provide this information in the cover letter if opting for double-blind peer review). The primary affiliation for each author should be the institution where most of their work was done. Current addresses may also be indicated if authors have moved.
- Large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, do not meet our authorship criteria. Authorship implies responsibility for the work, which cannot be effectively attributed to LLMs. The use of LLMs should be properly documented in the methods section of the manuscript (or appropriate alternative section).
- A detailed description of the work results, including sufficient methods and materials information to allow replication by peer experts.
- A reference list. References must be in English and indexed in Google Scholar or another recognized database. While we understand that some authors may need to cite literature in other languages due to the specific nature of their research, such references should not make up the majority of the article. These references should be presented as footnotes, providing details on how to access the original language material for the convenience of readers.
- Optional extended data – Extended data figures are items that are displayed only online and provide necessary background information for the main paper but are not included as primary display items due to space constraints or interest to specialists only.
Cover Letter
- The cover letter should explain the significance of the work and why you believe it is suitable for the diverse readership of ISRR.
- Disclose any related manuscripts that are under consideration or have been submitted elsewhere by any of the authors.
- Inform us if you have discussed the work described in the manuscript with an editor at Interdisciplinary Social Research Reports.
- If opting for double-blind peer review, include all authors' affiliations and contact information in the cover letter (instead of in the manuscript file).
- Optional: Provide names and affiliations of potential reviewers you recommend, as well as those you wish to exclude (with reasons).
- Notes: The cover letter will not be visible to peer reviewers.
Supplementary Material
- Include any information (including display items) that is not directly related to the main findings but is necessary for the correct understanding and replication of the study.
- Only supplementary information relevant to the conclusions of the paper should be included.
- Supplementary material files will be sent to peer reviewers along with the manuscript file.
